President’s Greeting:  President Anita welcomed us to her last meeting as president.

Song:  Phil Armi arrived in the nick of time to lead us in “Oh What a Beautiful Morning.”

 

President Elect:  Judy Hannemann told us there would be a social meeting on Tuesday June 26 and no meeting on July 3.  (This has since been revised to no meeting either day)  Our next meeting will be for lunch on Tuesday July 10th

 

Announcements”

          *The annual Roast & Toast for the outgoing District Governor, Arley Marley, will be held on July 12 at Saratoga Springs.

          *Bruce is passing around a list for speaker sign ups by month.

          *Walt Joyce said there were 24 golfers at Shoreline for our annual golf tournament.  Phil said about 40 people showed up at the Elks Club for the BBQ after.  If you haven’t paid, please do so to Sheila, Chuck, Walt or Phil.

          *There are about 40 people signed up for the Kick Out at Michaels of Shoreline on Sunday evening June 24 @ 6.  See Tom Myers for more information.

          *Hal Taylor is looking for someone to represent us and meet the RYLA campers at the BBQ on Thursday evening at Camp Campbell.  We have seven campers sponsored by our club. 

 

Rotary Jeopardy

          Bruce asked for confessions:  Phil Armi is celebrating his 60th Anniversary.  Fred Storek is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the formation of his company.  Roger, Phil & Dennis got to play Jeopardy.

 

Presentation of Community Grants:

          CHAC – Carrie Carsten reported on their activities and reminded us that the upcoming Art and Wine parking would help raise more money for the organization.

          CSAMegan Perdue, a development director for CSA reported on their activities in Mtn. View, Los Altos and Los Altos Hills.

          Mountain View Education Foundation – Alison Beardsley received their award.  She told us of their expansion plans.

          Partners for New Generations – Sally Meadows of the Los Altos Rotary Club told us of their activities and needs for Mentors and Tutors.
