Meeting notes, September 20, 2022
at Don Giovanni’s Restaurant
President Sanjay welcomed everyone as Family in Rotary with a call to Action Internationally and locally.
Following the Pledge of Allegiance, the Thought for the day was Sheila’s reminder of special dates for this month of September.
Tori Atwell welcomed all visitors.
General Club announcements:
Friends of Stevens Creek will have the Trailblazer Race on Sunday, Sept 25
Cleanup on the Trail planned for October 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.
A volunteer is needed for Speaker Chair for April 2023.
Golf tournament is Sept.30.
Cathy Merrill organizing Service projects at Hope’s Corner.
Bruce Karney, much involved in Mountain View’s Environmental Sustainability Task Force, took over to introduce speakers answering a variety of questions affecting local elections for High School Boards in Mountain View and Los Altos.
We got to hear the opinions and views from candidates, Catherine Vonnegut, Carol Titus Zambre, Jaqueline Tanner, Eric Mark, Theta Gomez and Esmerelda Ortiz.

10/11 –Dr. Maureen O’Conner, President of Palo Alto University
10/18- Mountain View City Council Candidates’ forum.
There will be no social meeting next week.
