Phil provided today’s thought:
Today is the oldest you’ve ever been, yet the youngest you’ll ever be. 
Yesterday is history.  Tomorrow is a mystery.  Today is a gift.  That’s why it’s called the present.
Always remember Life is not measured by the number of breathes we take but by the moments that take your breath away.

Vocation: - Judy gave her vocational speech.  She went to school in Denver and wanted to be a teacher.  She attended Graduate school at Stanford after which she became Assistant Dean of Students.  Her 3 passions/hobbies are family, community service and education.  She served on the school board for 37 years.  She has 3 children and 7 grand-children.
 
           
Club Announcements:
  • Dave Cole– Updates on Community Service Projects.  June 10 the city is looking for volunteers for the Multi-Cultural Event.  CSMA also needs a volunteer on June 22. 
  • The Rotating Dinner was a success.  Cost should be ~$32 per person.  Photos below.
  • Next Board Meeting is Thursday 6/22, 5 pm at CHAC
  • Presidents’ Club:  We will not be doing fines again this year and I would like to encourage our membership to join the Presidents Club.  27 have already signed up.
  • Twana – continued circulating the signup sheet for monthly Speaker Chairs for next year.  Kick out at Michaels on June 23 at 6 pm.
  • Annual golf and BBQ will be on June 9.  $65 for golf and $35 for dinner.
  • Given we do not have a President-Elect-Elect, Tom volunteered to host a Future of the Club meeting at his place at 6 pm on June 6.  Let him know if you plan on attending.
  • Anita let us know that CSA is turning 60 so there will be a party at CSA on August 19.
  • Steve Ross also visited our club today and thanked us for all of our service.
 
Auction:
- We have auctioned off one of Jerylann’s Incline Village Lake Tahoe Timeshare weeks but 11/25-12/2 is also available. Beautiful 2 bedroom, 2 bath units with a loft, sleeps 6-8 comfortably.  Let Jerylann know if you are interested in the November dates.
- We should have a rug to auction at the end of June.  We are doing these auctions to raise funds for our Endowment Fund. So far we have raised over $2300 so far!
 
 
SPEAKER:  Dan Rusanowsky – the voice of the Sharks on the radio.  He has been with the team since 1991 after moving from Connecticut.  His job is to spread the word about the Sharks hockey and San Jose.  He said the 5 things the team looks for in players are: 1) character, 2) hockey sense, 3) love of the game, 4) make other players better and 5) be at your best when it matters the most. 
 
 
At the start of the meeting, President-Elect Scott greeted all:  “Welcome to the Rotary Club of Mtn. View where: We are a Fun, Enthusiastic & Inspiring Rotary Family…we are the BEST Rotary Club around!!!   Our International theme for 2016-2017 is Rotary Serving Humanity.  Our District Governor’s call to action is   And our Clubs call to action is: Make the World A Better Place!  Thank you all for joining us today.”
