Program introduced by President Tom
Sandy Mobley, DNP, ACNP-BC gave a very informative presentation to the Club about stroke management.  Stroke is the second leading cause of disability.  It can be caused by high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or blood clots and it may involve either a blood vessel rupture or blockage.  Symptoms include headaches, dizziness, vomiting, drooping, weakness, or confusion.  Not all hospitals are Comprehensive Stroke Centers.  In this area, El Camino Hospital and Stanford Hospital fit that bill.  Surviving a stroke involves following the acronym BE FAST – Balance, Eyes fixed, Face droop, Arms, Speech, Time.

Future Schedule:
Next 4fer is Dave Cole.
Next Vocational Talk is Jim Spangler

And remember…“ Rotary Connects the World, and We Connect Our Community”
