ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Treasurer Report-Jan $1300.00 ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Pam is a recent graduate of PRLS. Learned a lot about Rotary and enjoyed the interaction with fellow Rotarians. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Master PRLS Liz Weeth claims is better that the introduction. Interesting presentation. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Mock cookbook was passed around. Please pre-pay for your cookbook. $10.00 per book. Makes a great gift! ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Upcoming event: electronics and May annual fundraiser is on the horizon. We are raffling off a motor scooter and that date is May 8rh. Last Tuesday in January. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Christmas tree drive to sell trees and wreaths and order by the 20th. The money can go to the school or to the Chamber of commerce. All proceeds get donated according to which box you check. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Polio Ride update: Craig is one week away. The race starts n the 20th. Next Thursday Craig will tell us if we can track the race online. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Luz Marie Ortiz Smith learned language in her late 30's. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· The theme of Rotary is the Future is in our hands. Change depends on each of us. We are peace advocates and Rotary is constantly changing. It is our duty to pave the road for those who come behind us. W cannot afford to become stagnant. We need to become stronger and better. It is you who decides how we grow. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· To achieve world understanding and achieve peace. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Rotary instruments of peace are donations, fundraisers, etcÃÆ'¢â‚¬Â¦ these are the foundations for peace. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Peace in the family, in the community, in schools. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Our district in one of the strongest contributors to the Rotary Foundation. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· There are many ways to give to the foundation. A Rotary credit card can be a way to donate. 10 dollars a month can be automatically donated. Look for different ways to donate. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Attend foundation seminars to stay current. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· Luz Maria Ortiz Smith and her husband have been donating wheelchairs around the world. A wonderful family in India hosted them. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· It is the deep friendship that makes Rotary strong and she truly believes that the friendship is what makes Rotary happen .We have the same purpose in life and that is the service to humanity. It is bringing hop that gives us the meaning in life. ÃÆ'¯â€šÂ· One thing that she knows for sure is that she will continue to be confused by the English language.
