Each of us can make a difference. Earlier today, Cayucos Rotarians joined several volunteer groups in Cayucos and Morro Bay to help raise funds for the San Luis Obispo County Food Bank.
This would be the 3rd year that Cayucos Rotarians had participated in the Hunger Walk held countywide. Cayucos Rotary was represented by Gladys Bird and Sherry Sim.
The walkers, including the excited four-legged pets, started out at St. Timothy's Church, led by a bagpiper through town and down the board walk along the Embarcadero to the Rock and back.
The weather cooperated and it's a beautiful way to spend the day! Upon our return, we learned that SLO Food Bank raised over $13,000 and was still counting. Cayucos Rotarians raised helped nominally, by about $470.
