CAYUCOS ROTARY NAMES THEIR 1ST "ROTARIAN OF THE YEAR"
Lizabeth Weeth, who goes by "Liz" has been honored as the Rotary Club of Cayucos-Seaside as their 1st Rotarian of the Year. Since the club's inception, Liz, a Charter member and brand-new Rotarian, has embraced Rotary by jumping in to be Membership Director.
"Membership is the lifeline to any club," Liz stated. She began learning all she could about Rotary, how to grow, train and retain members. "Liz is passionate, creative and proactive; she undoubtedly deserves to be recognized," explained Sherry Sim, Charter President/President 2008-2009. In addition to being Membership Director, Liz also worked on the club's various projects and fundraisers. During the club's first year in July 2008-June 2009, Liz continued to help overcome the club membership challenges through the tough economic times.
An active member in the community, Liz also founded the Morro Bay Garden Club, and worked extensively with the Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce. The club also benefited greatly from Liz's acumen, professional leadership and work ethnics acquired through her many years of experience with the Mary Kay Cosmetic Company.
