Fellow Rotarians,
Our speaker this week is Jim Lyons from Santa Clara University. Jim is the Vice President of University Relations and is in charge of the university’s government relations, alumni relations, fundraising, and marketing/communications activities.
If you have not done so already, you still have time to sign up for the District Conference. The conference is at the beautiful Dolce Hayes Mansion in San Jose on April 11-13. I encourage all members to attend at least one event. Red badge members should attend to meet your blue badge requirement of attending a district event. Bob Buchser will be in charge of the speech event at the Sunday brunch and I will be the master of ceremonies for the Saturday dinner. We would love to see you there. Last week, our club received a $1000 donation from Walmart for our Steps for Success program. Karina Arvizu, our club member and the store’s general manager, presented the check to our club at Walmart’s grand opening ceremony at the Mercado shopping center. Thank you to Walmart and Karina for your generosity!
