Fellow Rotarians,

This week we will have the opportunity to hear the personal histories of some of our red badge members.  I am always fascinated to learn more about our members because we have such a diverse and impressive group.  The reason we are the Greatest Rotary Club in the World is because we have the greatest members in the world.  So, be there to learn more about some of our new Santa Clara Rotarians.

At our meeting last week, Mike Moul and Phil Auger kicked off our fundraising drive for polio eradication.  Polio eradication is the most massive and world changing project done by any service organization in our history, and as Rotarians we all need to be a part of it.  Imagine how amazing it will be in the near future when we are able to celebrate world-wide polio eradication and know that each one of us played a part in it!   You will have received a letter in the mail where you can mail in your donations.  Checks should be made payable to The Rotary Foundation and will count towards you Paul Harris.  The Gates Foundation will do a 2 to 1 match for every dollar you donate.  And, if all of that is not enough, for every $100 you donate you will be entered into our drawing for a new iPad mini on May 15th.
