Fellow Rotarians,
Our speaker this week is the Honorary Ken Yeager, President of the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. He will be giving us an update on Caltrain, bringing BART to San Jose, and building High Speed Rail across California.
Our speaker this week is the Honorary Ken Yeager, President of the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors. He will be giving us an update on Caltrain, bringing BART to San Jose, and building High Speed Rail across California.
We are in full swing this week, with lots of good things happening. Our board meeting this month is a week early and will be on Wednesday, September 11 at 6:00, Holders Country Inn, 1424 Saratoga Ave, San Jose. All members are welcome to attend, just let me know in advance so we can plan the seating accordingly. If you have a Red Badge and still haven’t attended a board meeting, we would love to see you there. Dinner is included.
Our first fundraiser of the Rotary year is this weekend—our famous Chinese chicken salad booth at The Santa Clara Art and Wine Festival. If you haven’t yet signed up, contact Stewart Cusimano or Dan Holder to see how you can help.
On Thursday, we need some help moving the gifts for Christmas for Kids from Linda and Tom Clark’s house into storage. The start time is 5:30, please contact Linda or Tom for the address. Please call Tom (408 396-7342) with any questions. Beer and wine will be provided.
We are always looking for good speakers for our weekly meetings. If you have someone in mind, please contact Andy Ratermann and he can make the arrangements.
