Charles Frost

Executive Director of Vanguard Music and Performing Arts

 

Charles Frost is an Austin, TX native and studied trumpet performance at Texas State University. He worked in the fast paced print industry while honing his business skills as a print production manger and professional musician in Phoenix, AZ. Charles moved to Santa Clara in late 2013 to follow his passion of performing arts and live music by coming to work for Vanguard Music and Performing Arts.

As the Executive Director of VMAPA, Charles’ daily work is to further the mission of inspiring communities and enriching lives by increasing opportunities for education, participation and excellence in the performing arts. Still an avid trumpeter, you can find Charles playing with the Santa Clara Big Band around the Bay Area. In his free time, Charles loves to go hiking with his fiancé Brittany and their dachshund, Frankie.

 

Charles will give a brief history of the 50 years of Santa Clara Vanguard and the vision of Vanguard Music and Performing Arts. He will be joined by SCHS graduate and 2017 drum major, Christopher Harper, to speak about the life learning experiences the Vanguard brings to our youth.
