Eric Belley, our new Penobscot Bay Regional Chamber of Commerce president, was our guest speaker, November 16th. The Chamber provides networking opportunities, guides for the Camden/Rockland area, spotlights local businesses, and is a source of information for tourists, community members, and businesses.
 
Rhett Lamb, a veteran municipal official,  is Rockland's City Planner. Rhett gave an interesting presentation regarding comprehensive planning for the city.
 
Our guest speaker this week was Allison Worden. Allison is the owner of the delightful boutique bookstore, Arctic Tern Books.  This bookstore is a "cozy retreat filled with books, tea, candles, cards, and other comforts".  
 
 
Rockland Rotarian and executive director of Herring Gut Coastal Science Center, Kathy Barker, along with Patrick Burnham, educational programs director, were our guest speakers today. Herring Gut Learning Center is a nonprofit educational center located on a multi-acre waterside campus at the tip of the St. George peninsula in midcoast Maine.
Our guest speaker and artist, Sue Baines, talked about her specially designed Ukrainian "Pease Dove".  All proceeds from the sales of her "Pease Dove" totes, aprons, and T-shirts will be donated to Ukraine Relief. Rockland Honorary Rotarian, Jim Jenkins, gave a very interesting and informational talk about Winn Chato's Rotary Stamp Collection.
Marci Lambert gives an interesting classification talk.  It was a pleasure getting to know more about Marci.
John Lambert gives his classification talk.  He pointed out that many of the baseball stadiums he visited no longer exist. Interesting!
 
Bill Gay gave an interesting presentation about the Owls Head Community Cemetery Committee and their dedication restoring neglected area cemeteries. 
 
 
Rockland Rotarian, Kermit VonCannon, gave a very interesting and informational talk on the topic of automotive supply and electric vehicles.
 
 
Emily Dillon gave an entertaining classification talk.  Our club members and guests enjoyed learning more about one of our new rotarians.
 
Jon Moro, an artist from Camden was our speaker November 24, 2021.  He has been a sculptor for 20 years.  Jon showcased 3 incredible wooden sculptures he created featuring famous sports heroes
