ImageWhat a fantastic meeting today!  A benefaction’s award to the Teen & Young Parent Program was accepted by Adrienne Randall.  This program addresses the needs and concerns of young parents.

Our President, Amie Hutchison, addressed the ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) Association’s marketing strategy of pouring ice water over her head for a donation of $100 to ALS.  A challenge was made to three other members to have ice water poured over their heads for a donation.  President Bush (43) performed the same challenge for the ALS Association.

ImageKatie Cormier, Rockland Rotary exchange student to Denmark, was our speaker summarizing her year in Denmark.  She lived with three different host families.  While in Denmark, Katie visited Legoland, Paris and took the eighteen day Euro Tour to seven countries.  Katie learned a different language, made many friends and experienced a different culture.  The Rotary Student Exchange program is one that the students will always remember as being a positive force in their lives.  Two weeks prior, Ashley Pezanowski summarized her exchange experience to Poland describing all the cities and countries she visited including all the friends she made.

Katie also drew the two winning lobster raffle tickets.  First prize of 25 lbs of lobster was won by Sam Patterson of Rockport.  The Second prize of 10 lbs of lobster was won by Dave Theriault of Rockland.  Enjoy a lobster feast and thank you for your support of our benefaction programs for local, non-profit organizations.
