Attendance today was 22 of 26, or 85 percent.

Today's meeting was a hybrid meeting.  Total attendance was 22 members.  We had eight members attend in-person at Norma's.

Neal led the club in a roundtable discussion of significant events and occurrences within the membership.  Gordon relayed how he broke his ankle recently.  During this same event, Gordon fell and hit his head on the street curb outside his home.  The curb was undamaged: Gordon was not so lucky.  Piper continues to operate her Court remotely.  She conducts 12 to 15 hearings per day and will be doing so for the foreseeable future.  George has received information regarding Blood Drives and will forward it to club members when he/we get past latent technology issues.  Our first blood drive is at Chase Oaks Church, on Sunday, July 5th, between 8 AM and 1 PM.  Shep has a duck problem in his pool.  The club membership offered several helpful tips as to how Shep might be able to rid himself of this problem, all the while enjoying roasted fowl.  Rick gave an update on his grandson.  He states that Cole has a cheerful spirit, given all that he has been through.  Cole is doing as well as can be expected.  Rick asks that we continue to pray for his grandson.  Mike Missildine continues to operate his court through the pandemic.  Jury cases are starting to back up, as attorneys realize the advantages of asking for a jury trial during a time when such operations are not possible..  Mike is approaching the time when he will consolidate and absorb court operations of another court.  Business for Tim Chappell has been steady.  Tim stressed the precautions being observed within his medical office to ensure safety.  As a public service announcement, Bud stated that he has three walkers if anyone has a need for such equipment.  Neal relayed to the club that Norma's has been helping to feed Plano's homeless population during the time when they were closed to the public.  We will conduct next week's meeting in much the same manner as this week's.  If you are going to attend in-person, please let Neal know in advance, so we can have a head count.

The motto of Rotary is "Service Above Self." We all know from experience how much more we can accomplish together than alone. Along those lines, it is imperative that we actively promote our club and invite friends and coworkers to join.

Have a great week, everybody, and don't forget to ask your friends and coworkers to come to have breakfast with us next Friday!
