Emergency Management

BIO:

Carrie is the Director of Emergency Management for the City of Plano, TX.  In this role, she oversees activities related to mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery within the community. She routinely interacts with various City of Plano departments, volunteer organizations, faith-based groups, health care providers, and other community partners.

Prior to her employment with the City of Plano, Carrie worked for other Dallas-Fort Worth communities in a variety of emergency management capacities. In her many years of emergency management service, she has responded to a variety of crisis, emergency, and disaster events. Most recently she was involved in the COVID-19 response and 2021 winter weather response for the City of Plano.

Carrie holds a B.S. in Emergency Administration and Planning and a Master of Public Administration – both from the University of North Texas.
