Career Pathways, Interview Prep and Life Skills For At Risk Youth
Jun. 24, 2022 7:00 a.m.
Youth With Faces gives youth in the juvenile justice system a second chance to be more than a faceless statistic. We all know making poor choices is part of growing up. But, for incarcerated youth, the poverty and dysfunction that led to their mistakes create a cycle of crime difficult for any teen to overcome alone. This is why we are here, every day without fail, with respect, accountability and belief in their potential. We help Dallas County youth change doing time into a time to learn and practice critical character lessons and work skills. As a result, they significantly reduce their chances of returning to custody and can build a new identity – as a capable young person with a contribution to make. Michelle Ordeneaux Jones VP - Engagement & Administration O: 214.926.5344 M: 972.849.7407 Hello Robert, I've attached Chris Quadri's presentation for your Friday meeting. I'm also including his bio in the text below. Chris Quadri and our board member Carrie Stumfall will be in attendance. Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you. Christopher Quadri Chief Executive Officer, Youth With Faces Christopher Quadri's interest in the rehabilitation of justice-involved individuals stemmed from his own experience in the system as a young adult. Like many young people, Chris made poor decisions that led him to prison. But unlike so many of his peers, he had a network of support that helped him find success after incarceration. This experience with the criminal justice system motivated Chris to change his course in life and help others impacted by incarceration. Soon after his release in 2005, Chris was invited to join the board of the Prison Entrepreneurship Program and was eventually hired as a fundraising executive there. During that time, he formed extensive social enterprise and nonprofit experience with a focus on developing innovative solutions for social justice issues. He joined the board of Youth Village Resources of Dallas in 2008 to serve youth returning to their communities after incarceration. The organization expanded its mission and changed its name to Youth With Faces in 2015, when Quadri was named Chief Executive Officer. Quadri is also a founding member of Executives In Action and Café Momentum. His expertise includes organizational development, fund development, entrepreneurship, social impact investing and financial management.

Rotary
Sep. 02, 2022 7:00 a.m.
Bill Dendy LOVES Rotary. He joined Rotary in 2000 with the Rotary Club of Dallas. Bill served as District Governor in 2016-17. During that time, North Texas Rotary led our Rotary zone in membership growth. Additionally, the North Texas District was recognized as top district for public image in the paired zones. Furthermore, our District’s Rotary Foundation giving grew with overall Foundation contributions increasing by over a million dollars. Bill attributes these successes to a strong supportive team that was necessary as he was also a full-time entrepreneur and active father for his two minor children during his governor year.
“Rotary should be uplifting and FUN,” says Bill, and his team hosted several fun and memorable events. Beginning with his governor’s installation presided over by RI President John Germ, our District saw hundreds in attendance at every major event, including the Foundation Celebration and the District Conference Cruise.
While fun and fellowship are important, Bill reminds us that, “service is the real focus.” Most district events included an element of service, and individual Rotarians and clubs that excelled in service were recognized. Even the district conference was billed as a “Service Cruise,” with five different service projects in Cozumel and Jamaica, spearheaded by clubs already familiar with the needs of those communities.
Bill’s attitude of rolling up his sleeves and getting the job done benefited the district in several key areas. Bill found a charitable partner and traveled to Africa to fulfill a ten-year district goal of providing education for girls in Malawi. The scholarship project with Orant Charities continues today. Additionally, he led groups to Cuba to provide humanitarian aid and produced complimentary PR videos for dozens of clubs to highlight their many service accomplishments.
Bill continues to serve our Rotary Community. He is our 3-year District Representative for Rotary International’s Council on Legislation and our District Foundation Chairperson. Bill is a Foundation Major Donor and a member of the Paul Harris Society, White Hat Society, and Bequest Society. He was District Rotarian of the Year in 2012, and in 2020, Bill received Rotary International’s highest honor, the Service Above Self Award (only 150 worldwide per year).
Professionally, Bill is an Attorney, CPA and Certified Financial Planner. For fun, Bill enjoys travel and SCUBA. He is a member of American Mensa and is an instrument rated, multi-engine private pilot. His wife, Lisa, is an attorney and committed Rotarian.

Be An Angel Foundation
Sep. 30, 2022
Denise Coffman spent almost 15 years in public education working with kids of all ages. The experiences & opportunities with children that her educational journey provided were priceless. They forced her to find her passion in life & to begin thinking out of the box for ways to reach the WHOLE child. Her book, What’s The Issue-Biblioguidance For Children That Opens Doors, creatively helps parents, educators, & other professionals teach all children, not only academically, but socially & emotionally as well. She spent a year traveling to state educator conventions, including the Texas Education Association’s conference, sharing her thoughts & the unique social-emotional lessons from her book touching children’s lives all over the country. She has an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from The University of North Texas & a graduate degree in Counseling & Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University. Denise is blessed with three amazing children and loves to spend her free time making memories with them. She believes & tries to live by the quote “It’s not how you live, it’s whose life you change in the wake of yours”! Denise is excited to be the Development Director for Be An Angel DFW. Through BAA DFW & their services, she can continue her life’s work of touching the children & their families that truly need it the most. ROBERT HILL BIOGRAPHY
Bob is a native Texan with over thirty years of experience as a practicing lawyer. A graduate of the McCombs School of Business and Texas Tech School of Law, Bob is an avid golfer and outdoorsman. Bob’s experience in law has been wide-reaching, having practiced in commercial litigation, business contracts and transactions, real estate, intellectual property, and estate matters. Concentrating on small to mid-sized entrepreneurial clients has enabled him to see many different scenarios, and to appreciate the diverse ways goals can be reached. Bob is very experienced in negotiating compromises, having come to firmly believe that reasonable settlement is always better than litigation. Bob now manages his own law firm in Plano, Texas, where he lives with his wife in a recently emptied nest Bob is also a servant leader and is passionate about helping those that are unable to help themselves. His prior involvement in Rotary has provided training in international projects and grant writing. Destination and legacy are the concepts that drive Bob. No one reaches his “destination” without help from other people. Many people influence us during the journey. Bob’s father used to tell him - “Everything you do in life is influencing someone, be it good or bad.” As people that merely borrow space on this world for but a time, we need to think hard about the legacy we leave, which will continue to influence and guide others. In the words of Jim Rohn: “All good men and women must take responsibility to create legacies that will take the next generation to a level we could only imagine.”
