Rotarian Kyle Metzger, President & CEO of United Way of Huntington County, along with Darlene Stanley, representing the Stanley family, who are serving as this year's campaign chairpersons shared with us facts surrounding United Way and the planned and potential outcome of the annual giving campaign in our community.
They shared the campaign theme for this year which is 'Live United: Be Someone’s Hero'. The idea is you don’t need to have a cape to be someone’s hero. To be a hero you just need to do the next good thing. You can lend your talent to a friend unexpectedly. You could give an hour of time to someone who needs your help. Simply Show up or just listen. In addition consider taking an ordinary act and make it extraordinary. If we all step up to become a hero for others, just imagine what could happen to Huntington County!
