Real Estate Bubble Getting read to Burst? Or was that just a hiccup?
Nov. 15, 2018
We have a "Demand" problem currently in Sonoma County. Sales have plummeted with a 25% drop year over year but a 32% drop from August to September. What's going on? We'll explore the market dynamics and ponder if this is a bubble in the making or just some air being let out at a predictable and gradual pace. Overview of the State and Local real estate markets. MISSION STATEMENT and PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY "I believe I operate like other quality professionals who serve your accounting, medical, and legal needs. I treat each transaction as another important event in my continuing relationships. You will recognize this as a "Client-Centered" concept which by itself is not unique, yet its application to real estate is certainly rare." "As an individual and a responsible member of the community, I share a unique vision of how I can contribute expertise to the positive benefit of my select group of clients. I assist my clients by providing today's vital information for tomorrow's decisions." "...One of Sonoma County's natural resources" |

Executive Director, Clean River Alliance
Dec. 06, 2018
I have been volunteering in my community since I was a teenager and believe in giving back to the community in which I live. At 16, I became a volunteer fire fighter and did so off and on for over 16 years. In my early 20’s I volunteered for the Cetacean Society and taught classes on grey whales and led whale watching tours out of Newport Beach. I raised money for Orange County Fund for Environmental Defense for groups such as Audubon’s Starr Ranch. I have also spoken in front of the California Coastal Commission twice about environmental issues facing California's coast and in 2005 became good friends with Peter Douglas, Executive Director of the California Coastal Commission until his passing in 2012. When I lived on the Smith River in northern California, I volunteered at the Marine Mammal Center in Crescent City and took care of marine mammals. I also did fish counts for Smith River Alliance and bird counts in the Tolawa Dunes State Park at the mouth of the Smith River. |

The Latest Changes to the Tax Code and Tax Strategies for 2019
Jan. 03, 2019
My topic is a brief overview of the new tax law, and how it will impact your 2018 and 2019 tax returns. Not only is the look of the form substantially different, but the deductions you are accustomed to have changed quite a bit as well. The tax rates have gone down, but will that be enough to offset the changes in deductions? For some people the new tax law will be great, and not so good for others. Come find out how it may impact you. I am a partner with the CPA firm of Dillwood Burkel & Millar, LLP. |

Owner of Gerard's Paella y Tapas Restaurant in Santa Rosa
Feb. 07, 2019
Gerard Nebesky is currently the owner of Paella y Tapas Restaurant (and catering) on the corner of 4th and E Streets in Santa Rosa, formerly Arrrgoni's. In 1990, Gerard opened the Bohemian Cafe in Occidental, turning out wood-fired pizzas as well as sushi and Thai food. In 2001 Gerard was ready for more variety, so he sold the business and set up a coffee cart in Petaluma's Telecom Valley. In 2004, Gerard took his first trip to Spain where he was introduced to paella. In Gerard's experience, paella became a guaranteed way to "bring people together." News of Gerard's paella grew through word of mouth, and he was soon invited to cook at wineries and other small public events. It wasn't long before celebrities started calling. Today, Gerard's catering business does some 200 events annually, from house parties to Coachella, from Iron Man to Maker Faire. |

Overview The Stevenson Memorial Trail takes you from the parking lot on Highway 29 to the summit of 4,343-foot Mt. Saint Helena, arguably the most prominent landform visible from the Santa Rosa plain, Sonoma Valley, and Napa Valley. The first mile of the trail goes past the site of the mining town of Silverado, then switchback through shady single track trail, then the last 4 miles are on a well-graded fire road. The views are well worth the hike, for a true top-of-the-world experience. The hike to the summit is 10 miles round trip with a 1,800-foot elevation gain. Trailhead is about 8 miles from the town of Calistoga up highway 29. Right at the crest, there is parking lot on either side of highway 29. We will start the hike from there. Note: I will be out of town until Feb 4th…so if you need more information or questions, please send an email and I’ll reply when I get back in town. |
