DESCRIPTION:Highlights:  Our February hike will be at Taylor Mountain Regi
 onal Park\, an urban oasis within Santa Rosa.  Two options are available:
   A moderate 1.5 hour hike on the lower portion of the mountain\, and a d
 ifficult 3-hour hike to the mountain top.  Both have sweeping views of th
 e valley and distant mountain peaks.      Rating:  Moderate to Difficu
 lt\, with several steep stretches on the Difficult upper mountain portion.

 limits.   Description:  Taylor Mountain Regional Park & Open Space Pres
 erve is a prominent Santa Rosa landmark\, providing panoramic views of the
  city and distant peaks. The park's 1\,100 acres include sweeping grasslan
 ds\, oak woodlands\, several creeks\, and habitat for a variety of wildlif
 e. The park has 5.5 miles of unpaved trails.  With the substantial rains 
 this fall and winter\, early wildflowers should be in bloom.    Bring: 
  Water and walking sticks and a picnic lunch to enjoy at the top with the
  sweeping views.  Dress in layers in case of cooler or rainy weather.  S
 pouses\, partners\, friends and guests welcome.  This is a good introduct
 ion to our Club for guests potentially interested in becoming members.
