Tracing the Family Dynasty of Joseph George Fine Wines

Bert will discuss the wine business from 1943 to the present, as well as current wine trends.  He will trace his family’s extraordinary history and share with us how they have grew to become a premier wine distributor in the Bay Area.  Joseph George is a third generation family company that has been distributing alcohol for 75 years.  At one time, they even sold candy, tobacco and coca-cola syrup to local retailers and pharmacies throughout Santa Clara Valley.

Biography

Bert was born into the business that was started by his Grandfather, Joseph George, in 1940. His father, Glenn George grew the business exponentially into the largest Liquor, Wine and Beer company in Northern CA.
