Covid-19 Community Coalition
Apr. 22, 2020 8:30 a.m.
COVID-19 community coalition is a coalition of Santa Clara County activists working together in unity to protect and support our front line fighters who continue to serve the community despite the risk of the coronavirus. Its goal is to help community members recover from the coronavirus and to provide a platform for activists to work together to achieve this goal. One of its founding members, Mohinder Mann, has a long history of being recognized for both his legal expertise and community service by community organizations and the legal profession. He is also a founding member of the Silicon Valley-based grassroots organization Coalition 2001 which was awarded the Asian Americans for Community Involvement’s (AACI) highest honor for community service. He will provide an insight into what individuals and community leaders are doing in the fight against COVID-19. On the legal front, Mann has been an advocate for additional and adequate court funding in Santa Clara County. He has served on the Board of Governors of Consumer Attorneys of California for 4 years and was the President of the Santa Clara County Trial Lawyers Association. |

With peace comes a second chance and an incredible release of creativity and new economic opportunity. Jonathan explores the dynamics of large-scale, long term change with a focus on beyond the horizon technologies, providing insight on the evolving role of applied innovation. Jonathan currently serves as the Science and Exploration Fellow at Mission Blue—The Sylvia Earle Alliance; Advisor to Schmidt Marine Technology Partners—a program of the Schmidt Family Foundation; Exploration and Ideation Director at the NASA Frontier Development Lab; and Distinguished Fellow at Singularity University. He sits on the boards of, and as an advisor to, several ocean, space, technology, learning, and exploration-focused start-up and nonprofit organizations. Join us as Jonathan Knowles takes us on a fascinating journey through the last 100 years of our relationship with the tiny molecules that continue to influence our destiny. |
