Welcome to the website of the Tempe South Rotary Club (Rotary Club Number 1282). We invite you to take a look around our site and find out more about our Club and about Rotary. Please join us for breakfast and fellowship. The club meets weekly on Fridays from 7:00 am to 8:00am at the Rolling Hills Golf Club, 1415 W Mill Ave, Tempe, Arizona. Usually, members arrive about 6:30 am to join in fellowship before the meeting starts. A delicious breakfast is served at the beginning of the meeting.  The Tempe South Rotary Club was chartered as the third Rotary club in Tempe on February 23, 1975, on the birthday of Rotary International. The club had about twenty members then. We have since grown to an extremely active club with over forty members. Tempe South is proud of our commitment to Community and International Service. Each avenue of service provides many opportunities for members to serve the club and our community. Most visibly recognized is the club's community service projects that help support charitable organizations such as: Polio Plus, Hunger Plus, Friends of the Orphans, Tempe ARC, UMOM New Day Center, Paz de Cristo, Project C.U.R.E., Casa por Los Ninos, Agua Prieta Mexico, Tempe Elementary & Middle Schools, and many, many more. Members can serve in club service by providing weekly programs, attending regularly, acting as greeters, and participating in Charter Night, Changing of the Guard and the many other activities planned throughout the year. Tempe South is also active in international service, having hosted both inbound and outbound Youth Exchange students as well as sponsoring Ambassadorial Scholars. We've also been involved in humanitarian efforts in Mexico, Bosnia, Africa and most recently, Nicaragua. Vocational service is the heart of Rotary and Tempe South is very active in activities that support vocations and vocational education.
