On Saturday, October 6, 2018, members of the Rockaway Rotary Club conducted a fall clean-up in Rockaway Borough. Our club receives Clean Communities funds for our efforts that assists us in our charitable projects in our communities. Thank you to the Rotarians who participated in this project.
The speaker at our October 3, 2018 club meeting was Katelyn Tiernan, Community Development Manager, with the American Cancer Society. She educated our members on all that the American Cancer Society does for cancer patients and their families and spoke about one of their signature fundraising events, "Making Strides Against Breast Cancer." This event celebrates survivors, raises awareness, and fundraises to help save lives and provide free programs/services for cancer patients and their families. The American Cancer Society works hard every day to provide people battling cancer the resources and support they need.
Our next Rotary Board meeting is this Thursday, October 11, 2018 starting at 7:30 AM at Rockaway Assembly of God. If you have any items for the agenda, please let me know by October 9, 2018. Also, please confirm your availability to attend this meeting so that we have a quorum.

The tickets are $20 each and the Super Bowl package is worth $10,000! Drawing will be held on January 11, 2019.
