Our annual Holiday Party will be on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at 12:15 PM at The Exchange. Seasonal musical entertainment will be provided by students from Thomas Jefferson School and children visiting us from the Lincoln School Pre-K classes. There might even be a visit from Santa himself. Cost per member will be $25 for this event and we hope that all members will be able to join us for this fun time.

Our next Rotary Board meeting is this Thursday, December 14, 2017 starting at 7:30 AM at Rockaway Assembly of God. If you have any items for the agenda, please let me know by December 12th. Also, please confirm your availability to attend this meeting so that we have a quorum.
Officer Scott Haigh, Rockaway Borough Police Department
At our December 6th club meeting, Officer Scott Haigh from the RBPD briefed the club members on the A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) program that provides preparation and a plan for individuals and organizations on how to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter event in our schools and other public locations.
At the December 6, 2017 meeting of the Rockaway Rotary Club, Past President Sheila Seifert was recognized by The Rotary Foundation as a Major Donor. This honor recognizes her dedication to Rotary International's mission of "doing good in the world" and her ongoing financial support of The Rotary Foundation's humanitarian and educational initiatives.

At our December 6th club meeting, Bob & Betty Jo Galenkamp were awarded the Rockaway Rotary Club "Eagle Award" by Past President Denise Nickel for their work at our Decemberfest event .
