Thursday, February 13th, 7:30 a.m. - Board of Directors Meeting

Wednesday, February 19th, 12:15 p.m. - Lunch Meeting with Honor Students from Thomas Jefferson and Copeland Middle Schools.

2020 End Hunger 3.6 Event, March 7th

Every 3.6 seconds someone dies of malnutrition or starvation. In NJ and NY, one in five children relies on food stamps to provide daily meals.

On Saturday, March 7, 2020, District 7475, Madison Rotary Club Foundation, other Rotary Clubs and organizations will meet at Drew University in Madison and package 225,000 + meals for distribution to the New Jersey Salvation Army, The Table of Hope and the Market Street Mission in Morristown, Eva's Village in Paterson, St. John's Soup Kitchen and other organizations in our District including our own Rockaway Food Closet. The cost per meal is 25 cents. The more money we raise, the more meals we can provide.

Lunch Meeting, January 22nd

At our Lunch Meeting on January 22nd, Chris McCormack, photographer and international traveler, spoke about visiting US National Parks and Forests. President Denise also presented the Rockaway Rotary Eagle Award to Phyllis Alpaugh for her wonderful help with our annual Holiday Party.

Rotary Foundation Recognition

At our breakfast meeting on Wednesday, January 8th, President Denise presented Past-President George Berry with his one ruby Paul Harris pin in recognition of his on-going financial support of the Rotary Foundation. Congratulations George and thank you for your generosity.

2019-2020 District Grant Project

Our club's 2019-2020 District Grant project was the installation of a water bottle filling station at Parks Lake in Rockaway. This station, located on the walking path at the lake (by Lakeside Drive), will enable walkers/runners to refill their water bottles and cut down on the need for plastic, throw away bottles. The grant was for $1,000 and our club contributed over $500 for the project.
