The Rockaway Township Fall Clean-Up Day that was scheduled for this past Saturday, October 27th was cancelled due to the inclement weather and will be rescheduled for the spring.
The dictionaries have arrived! We will label the dictionaries and get them ready for distribution this Thursday, November 1st at 7:30 AM at the Rockaway Assembly of God Church. If you are available, please join your fellow Rockaway Rotarians to label and box these dictionaries for delivery. The more people, the less time it will take to complete the task.
At our October 24th club meeting, our speaker was Geraldine Callahan of Callahan Financial Services, who shared her expertise in "Elder Care" with our members and guests. Geraldine explained the various programs and services available for assisting with elder care and provided us with many important tips regarding financial and health issues to be considered in preparing for the care of ourselves and elderly family members.
It’s that time again! Time for the annual Gift of Life Super Bowl raffle!
Each year at this time, our district’s Gift of Life committee sells raffle tickets to raise funds for this great project by selling chances on a trip to the Super Bowl. This year, the Super Bowl will be played at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA on February 3, 2019.
The tickets are $20 each and the Super Bowl package is worth $10,000! Drawing will be held on January 11, 2019.
Past President George Berry has our club's allotment of tickets. Please see him at an upcoming meeting or contact him at FLHR94BERRY@aol.com to buy a ticket or obtain tickets to sell.
