Frederick and Ruth James Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility for the scholarship is limited to qualifying seniors from Morris Hills High School or  Morris Knolls High School who are residents of  Rockaway Borough or Rockaway Township.

 

Applications and all supporting letters, data and transcripts must be received on or before April 12, 2024. Interviews of the finalists will be scheduled around the week of April 22, 2024. Applicants will be notified as to the time and location of the interview by the Scholarship Committee.

 

CRITERIA FOR THE SCHOLARSHIP:  Qualified students for this scholarship must exemplify the Rotary Principle of “Service Above Self,” being defined as “unselfish leadership and performance in academic, athletic, religious and community activities and all other relevant school extracurricular activities.”  Candidates must also establish financial need and be academically qualified, having attained “Honor Roll” or reached the top 20% of their class.

 

A Scholarship of $1,500.00 will be awarded.
