In Kenya, Rise to Shine, an educational organization, almost disappeared when a flood washed away their HQ and dormitory. With Rotarian assistance it was rebuilt.

Dear Rotarian Mike,

I hope this message finds you well.

Your last visit to Kenya—and everything that followed—became a turning point in the lives of so many. What you witnessed there did not end with the trip; it grew into a lasting legacy of hope. Through your foundation’s generous support via the Newark Rotary, thousands of girls have found something many had never known before: safety, dignity, and a place they can truly call home.

I shared this video with you today as a small
reminder of the lives you touched and the futures you helped protect. Behind every smile is a girl who now sleeps without fear, dreams without limits, and believes she matters—because you chose to care.

At Rise to Shine Education Foundation,  We are deeply grateful, and your gift continues to speak loudly in every life it has transformed.

With heartfelt thanks and appreciation,   VID-20251206-WA0066.mp4

Warmly yours in service to children,
Emily Bakhitah,
