Memorial Day Parade
It is time again to honor those who served and those who paid the ultimate price in our Nation's history.  Memorial Day is Monday, May 28 and we would like to invite as many Madison Rotarians to join us marching in the Madison parade.  Receive instructions as to the order of march from Tom Granata who is staging the parade at Condurso Park at 9:00. Parade begins at 9:30.  Please wear a Rotary hat or shirt. Flags will be supplied.  Any questions, please let me know.
May Day - May 5th

Madison May Day was held on Saturday May 5th.  Thanks to the 20 plus Rotarians who volunteered to help maintain the grounds of the Madison Public Library.  This has been a history project that Madison Rotary has done for year.  A special thanks to Tom Haralampoudis for organizing Rotary volunteers.  A special breakfast was also held inviting the adult volunteers to who help with End Hunger to provide information about Rotary and to give another volunteer opportunity to work on a Rotary service project.

Rotary Walks
Madison Rotary was well represented by Barry Kroll and Woody (pictured above) along with Ray Freaney and McGurkin who participated in Rotary Walks held May 6th.  Madison Rotary raised over $400.00 of which 50% comes back to the club and the other 50% will go to support St. Huberts and the Raptor Trust.
Good Grief Run

"Rotary Club is pleased to be a financial sponsor of the 5K run/walk event organized by Good Grief, Inc., to be held on June 3, 2018 at Giralda Farms in Madison. Good Grief, based in Morristown, provides support to young people who have suffered the death of a mother, father or other close relative. More information on the event may be found at www.good-grief.org."
101 Rotary Facts # 64
In most Rotary clubs, such as ours, it is customary to open weekly meetings with an appropriate invocation or blessing. Usually such invocations are offered without reference to specific religious denominations or faiths. Rotary policy recognizes that throughout the world Rotarians represent many religious beliefs, ideas and creeds. The religious beliefs of each member are fully respected, and nothing in Rotary is intended to prevent any individual from being faithful to such convictions.
