ABCs of Los Altos School District Finance
Stella Kam was appointed to the Los Altos School District Board of Trustees in November 2024. Her two children attend Covington Elementary School. Prior to moving to Los Altos in 2014, Stella worked in quantitative finance in Chicago. She attended public schools in San Jose and Saratoga before receiving a B.S. in Economics from MIT.
Erik is a graduate of San Jose State University. He received Masters Degrees from UC-Berkeley and San Jose State University. He has a diverse background in education and spent the last 18 years with Fremont Union High School District in Sunnyvale as a classroom teacher followed by stints as an Assistant Principal, Coordinator of Safety & Operations, Director of Facilities, and most recently Director of Business and Fiscal Services.
When Erik is not working you can find him on the sidelines of his children's sporting events. He and his family reside in Sunnyvale.
