New Moon Gala, May 19th, Supporting Global Telehealth Network 

Please join The Rotary Club of Los Altos as we celebrate our first annual New Moon Gala. This year’s Gala announces our newest project supporting the Global Telehealth Network. GTN’s volunteer physicians and psychologists offer free online consultations for health workers in underserved areas when patients have complex problems.

 

The Network is currently launching at 9 sites in Kenya and Uganda, including hospitals, community clinics and school clinics. Building on that experience, GTN will soon scale across Africa and to other continents, underserved areas in the U.S., as well as to refugee camps, conflict zones and disaster areas.

 

GTN’s core belief is “no one should be denied access to health care because of location or ability to pay.” Their volunteer professionals offer care at no charge, and through videoconferencing, they can help nearly anywhere without having to travel.

 

Join us for an evening of entertainment, food, fun and fundraising to help us raise the necessary money to fully develop this life changing Network and make this historic effort to reduce health disparities around the world.
