The students of the Interact Club at J Percy Page (JPP) High School are serving dinner at Ronald McDonald House (RMH) on February 5th, and we need drivers to take the students from JPP to RMH and back.

Krishna Tailor was our speaker on Tuesday. Obvious excitement towards the Special Olympics was evident as we heard how Krishna's brother has benefited from the program over the past 12 years. Nino and Krishna have worked for the organization for the past 3 years. Others have obviously benefited as a result of their involvement.
It is that time of year again that I have a lot of deliveries. Valentines Day! So the offer stands if you would like to help the club by delivering flowers for February 12, 13 and 14. I pay $10.00 for each delivery and the money goes to our Rotary Club. I think this is a great fundraiser! If you are interested in driving any of these days, let me know. Last Mothers day we raised $1200.00 for the club in 2 days so that is not to bad.

The guest of Harald Kuckertz this week was Gereon Wintz. A German exchange student nearing the end of his Canadian experience. What more fitting winner could there be?
Plucking the Joker out of the deck of 46 cards was accomplished with great ease and exuberance, Gereon walked away with the big prize. Out of this world!
Our Rotary club's Kiva team continues to move our loan portfolio ahead. To date we have made 143 loans and to date we have 21 loans that have been successfully paid back.
The average lender on Kiva has an outstanding loan portfolio of just $39.85 while we have a loan portfolio of $1962, the average lender on Kiva has a delinquency rate of 5.00% while we have a delinquency rate of just 1.61% and the average lender on Kiva experiences a default rate of 1.10% while we have a default rate of 0.00%.
Our Kive lending team now consists of 20 individual Kiva lenders, some are members of our Rotary club, some are members of other Rotary clubs and some are not Rotarians at all, this small group of committed lenders has now cumulatively made 415 loans totaling $11,525.
