It is a place to sample dishes fr om local restaurants and food trucks\, enjoy the free entertainment as you walk around Churchill Square\, grab a drink with friends in the beer gard ens and visit our exclusive venues. YESS volunteers will be onsite this ye ar at the Beverage Oasis! We will be serving Jones Soda\, Oasis Smoothies and vitamin water to thirsty festival guests for the full ten days of th e festival (July 21 - July 30).  In addition to the Beverage Oasis\, YESS has also been given access to the Charity Booth onsite! For 2 days of the festival\, YESS will be in the Charity Booth giving information to festiv al guests about YESS and possibly doing some fun activities (face painting \, raffle/draw\, etc.) Details TBD!!    Supervisor Shifts: ONE supervis or needed per shift to supervise the 6 volunteers stationed at the two Bev erage Oasis tents (3 volunteers per tent)\, and supervise the extra volun teers who will be at the Charity Booth on select days (see below for volun teer schedules).  Supervisor duties involve:  Ensure all volunteers in t he Beverage Oasis and Charity Booth:Sign in and out  Receive a volunteer t-shirt Receive 1 Taste of Edmonton food ticket for each hour of volunteer ing Receive a break half way through their shift  Stock the coolers with beverages\, as needed Keep the tented areas tidy and clean Treat each o ther and all festival guests with respect Perform the necessary opening and closing tasks\, if applicable to your shift Write up notes in the Shif t Reports\, as needed Brief the oncoming supervisor with any notices or im portant things to note Order more beverages\, as needed Training Session: Most of you did Supervisor shifts at Taste of Edmonton last year. If you didn't\, or if you would like a refresher or a chance to ask questions\, I will have two training sessions schedule on the first day of the festival . These sessions are 1 hour long\, and you only need to attend one (they a re the exact same but schedule for different times to accommodate everyon e's' schedules).  The training session will show you around Taste of Edmo nton and the key locations/items that you will need to know. It will walk you through where everything will be stored\, how to order more beverages\ , etc.  Everything will be almost the exact same as last year\, so this i s optional for anyone who did supervisor shifts last year.
