Opus Motorcar

Tom sees transportation differently. Seeking to develop an efficient vehicle that every household could afford, he looks to emulate the post-war small cars of the 20th century. These are cars that anyone can work on; are feature-complete on delivery; and provide great value. Prior to kickstarting Opus, Tom led a team to the NASA RASC-AL Competition Finals, developed a prosthetic shell for injured sea turtles, and was the lead mechanical designer at Rover Robotics. He enjoys wearing many hats and finding creative solutions to engineering problems. Tom holds a Bachelors of Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from The University of Minnesota Twin Cities. He currently lives in Minneapolis where he attends the theatre and makes robots.
