Membership Expectations
Membership in a Rotary Club is by invitation and is on the basis of one representative of each business and profession. This classification system ensures a wide cross section of community representation. What makes a Rotary Club successful and rewarding is the contributions of its members. As a member of the St. Cloud Rotary Club, your involvement in club meetings and activities is vital. You are asked to:

  1. Set aside Tuesday noontime for the weekly club meetings. A great deal of effort is put into running the Club and the Tuesday meetings, and your regular attendance supports that effort. You must attend at least 60% of the weekly meetings, or make-up. You have many opportunities to make-up for missed meetings by attending another Rotary Club's weekly meeting. Also, attendance credit is sometimes available by participating in other Club activities.
  2. Participate in Club activities. Taking the initiative to get involved makes our Club successful, and your involvement rewarding to you.
  3. Be receptive to being asked by other Rotarians to help out with Rotary activities.
  4. Take the initiative to get to know your Club's members. Meeting interesting people is a real benefit to you. A membership directory is included in this web site and accessed through a member login and password.
  5. Support Rotary at all times. All that Rotary is and does can be daunting at first. Taking the initiative to learn all you can will be very beneficial to you as your Rotary commitment grows. Your sponsor can help you.
  6. You need to be proposed as a member of Rotary by a current member.
  7. ENJOY being part of a worldwide organization of people committed to making the world a better place!
