On October 25, 2013, Dr. Jancy McPhee visited Pasadena Rotary. Rotarian Bill Welch wrote the following regarding Dr. McPhee:

Dr. McPhee was a Researcher for NASA’s life sciences research programs from 2001 to 2010.  In her work since 2010, Dr. McPhee has led the “Humans in Space” program encouraging innovative young artists to create art projects about the future of Space;  thereby stimulating the public awareness about Space.  Dr. McPhee stated that our fragile Earth is struggling with pollution and that our efforts at World Ecology may be too little and too late.  The theme we remember from the “Star Trek” series about “Bravely going where no man has gone and seeking new frontiers” may become a reality in the future.
