Harris County Clerk, Harris County, Texas
Christopher Hollins is the Harris County Clerk in Texas. He was appointed to the position by the Harris County Commissioners Court on May 19, 2020, to replace Diane Trautman. Hollins assumed office on June 1, 2020, for a term that expires at the end of the year.
At the time he was appointed as county clerk, Harris was also serving as a vice chairman of the Texas Democratic Party. He is an attorney and worked at Hollins Law Group PLLC up until his appointment to public office. Hollins' professional experience also includes working at Goldman Sachs and the consulting firm McKinsey & Company.
Hollins holds a B.A. from Morehouse College and an M.B.A. and J.D. from a joint program with Yale Law School and Harvard Business School.
