Deer Park Rotary has a call to action for members to donate goods benefiting Deer Park United Methodist Community Food Pantry
A call for action was placed by Rotary leadership to its Rotary members for the gathering of perishable and non-perishable goods to resupply the shelves at the Deer Park United Methodist Church Community Food Pantry.

Arroyo, a Deer Park Rotarian, stepped up to gather supplies from local area businesses such as Lubrizol, Dollar General, Starbucks and Shipley Do-Nuts and delivered these items to the volunteers at the food pantry for dissemination to local area residents.  Unbeknown to many, the food pantry has its creation/origins with members of the Deer Park Rotary as well as members from the DPVFD.   One can imagine the impact of what a warm meal may have to a starving family.  Therefore, there is always a need to restock the shelves at the food pantry with supplies and to this the Deer Park Rotary will continue to assist in helping to feed the community through the UMC Community Food pantry.

Finally, the Food Pantry serves those within DPISD that need food assistance. Food donations and volunteers are appreciated. Hours of operation are Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 am -2 pm
