District Conference 2026 was a great experience!   

Speakers included the Craig Brown, Galveston Mayor,  Dr. Phillip Keiser from UT Medical branch on public health - from 1900 to now, Justin Stapleton from KPRC (and yes he predicted “rain” in Galveston on Friday!) morning meteorologist,  Rodger Rees from the Galveston Port Authority on how the port is growing, Dr. Vincent Solis, educator on where we are with AI, and Samuel Collins III who serves on the National Trust for Historic Preservation for Texas.  

Sean Sawyer was the RI President's Representative who has served in multiple roles since 2008.   Not only does he serve Rotary but is a professional trumpet player and avid fisherman.  Truly a Rotarian with a heart to make an impact to our mission.

We watched Nick and Rhonda make that walk at the banquet last night.
