May is Youth Service Month

Each year, Rotary connects thousands of young people to a global network of friendshipservice, and action. As Rotaractors and Interactors, they make a difference in communities at home and abroad. Through the Rotary Youth Exchange, they explore new cultures.  Through the Adventure in Citizenship Award and the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, RYLA, (Seminar for Tomorrow’s Leaders in our District) participants learn skills that will help them succeed as community leaders. Each year over 500,000 young people participate in Rotary Youth Service programs worldwide.

Our Club is very involved in Youth Service. We are the sponsoring partner for the Western University and Fanshawe College Rotaract clubs and co-sponsor of the London Interact Club. This year we sent 3 Youth Exchange student abroad and are hosting a student, Malena. We sent a student to the Adventures in Citizenship program in Ottawa and will be sending 7 students to our District’s Seminar for Tomorrow’s Leaders (RYLA).
