--IMAGINE WHAT THE ROTARY CLUB OF LONDON CAN DO IN YEAR 2022 / 23--
--NOVEMBER IS ROTARY FOUNDATION MONTH--
Generous gifts to The Rotary Foundation help create lasting change in communities both nearby and around the world. The Foundation transforms gifts into service projects that advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace by fighting disease, improving the quality of education, protecting the environment, alleviating poverty, and more.l
--PLEASE JOIN US FOR OUR NEXT MEETING ON  NOVEMBER 28th AT HIGHLAND G.C.--
Our meeting Monday November 28thth will be a "in person" meeting at Highland Golf Club (1922 Highland Height, London). Until we are back into a normal routine with respect to attendance, we are asking everyone to confirm their attendance using this link  (note: deadline for this is Friday November 25th at 2:00pm). Doors/Bar will open at 5:30pm. Dinner is at 6:00pm.  Our In Person meeting fee is $30/person and payment options include:  E-Transfer to Sandy in advance (preferred)--Cash (on arrival)--Credit Card (on arrival but least desirable)-- For those that attended the May 23rd meeting at Highland you will receive a $30.00 one time meal cost credit. HOLDERS OF PREPAID MEAL TICKETS-please locate and use to cover face to face meeting meal costs. After June 30, 2023 they will no longer be honored.
MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT RICK---Our next in person dinner meeting on Monday November 28th at Highland Golf Club will be an open forum for Rotary Club of London Members to receive a presentation on the results of our Member Survey in connection with our recent meeting schedule and structure and to hear the options for the future that the Board has decided to present to you... the members. I can say that the overall feedback from our Member Survey was that some CHANGE is necessary. It is important that you attend this meeting so that we can receive your comments and feedback on the options for going forward starting in January 2023. To begin with, and as result of the your feedback,  we will be serving a modest dinner which will be a sandwich buffet, a salad and a desert of cookies and squares. Also the dinner will be available from 5:30 to 6:00 PM. You will serve your self and go to a table as we intend on starting the meeting hopefully by 6:00 PM but no later than 6:15 PM. Our target objective is to be finished by 7:00 PM. The price for the dinner will be $30 which we would anticipate will encourage greater participation than our most recent dinner meetings.
The Registration will close at 2:00 PM on Friday November 25th in order that we can get numbers over to Highland. We need your participation and attendance at this meeting as we will be making important member directed and supported decisions on how we wish to go forward with a view to growing our Club in the future. Rotary Regards, .Rick-President 2022-2023

--LONDON SOUTH ROTARY PROJECT--
Rotarians Patti Lake, Kathleen Murphy and Barbra Fraser from London South along with a small group of volunteers have been working for one year to launch the Community Fridge London. The fridge aims to provide fresh food and staples for free, to combat food insecurity. The fridge philosophy is “take what you need, leave/give what you can,” where items can be accessed at any time of day, no questions asked. The fridge is located at St. John the Divine Parish in the Berkshire area of London. Volunteers will clean and check on the fridge daily. We will rely on the community to keep the fridge clean and stocked. I am writing to share the news about this exciting initiative and to ask if you would be interested in contributing your time and talents to one or more (or all!) of the following:
·       donating to the fridge/pantry
·       checking/cleaning the fridge/pantry
·       assisting with public relations/community outreach
·       picking up & dropping off items from the food bank as needed
If you are interested in volunteering, please complete this form: https://www.communityfridgelondon.com/volunteer You can also contribute a monetary donation (100% of funds will go to purchasing food for the fridge/fridge-related repairs): https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/rotary-club-of-london-south-foundation/   The official launch of the Community Fridge London occurred on Wednesday Sept 14th at St John the Divine Parish - 390 Baseline Rd. W. (north entrance). Please share news of this exciting and much needed project with others who you think may be interested in volunteering and/or using the Community Fridge. Thank you, Patti Lake
