"My experience with racism in Canada - - and why I'm telling my story now"

Prem Williams is a Director in the TD Securities Asset Securitization Group focusing on the structuring of creative securitization solutions for large Canadian and multi-national corporations. Over his 13 years of securitization experience he has built a reputation as a trusted partner to his clients, successfully executing transactions across a range of asset classes including Canadian residential mortgages, US trade receivables and auto loans and leases.

Prem joined TD Securities in 2004 and held a number of different positions in Credit Derivatives before joining the Sales and Trading Rotation Program as an Associate. Prior to TD Securities, Prem was an Analyst in the Investment Management Group at BMO Harris Private Banking. 

Prem has been passionate about breaking the cycle of poverty within the community since his days as a volunteer at Pathways to Education (Regent Park Community Health Centre). His community work has continued in various capacities for a variety of organizations and committees including CEE Centre for Young Black Professionals, TDSI's Black Experience Committee and the Black Opportunity Fund.

Prem holds an Honours BSc from the University of Waterloo, Master of Business Administration from the University of Windsor and is a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.
