'Rotary's Parliament' and 'A Little About PEI'

Duncan Conrad was born in Dartmouth Nova Scotia and was educated at Saint Mary’s and Mount Saint Vincent University graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. During his career Duncan has been involved in the Health and Social Service Field as a Social Worker, Correctional Services Counsellor and has held senior level positions in Veterans Affairs Canada, National Office until his retirement in 2005. He now operates Conrad Consulting and Conrad’s coastline Tours.

Duncan joined Rotary in 1995, serving as president of the Rotary Club of Charlottetown Royalty in 2001-2002, and governor in 2005-2006. He was   District Foundation chair in 2007-09, Polio Plus chair 2010-11, Chair of the District’s Paul Harris Society 2008-2011, then District Representative to the RI Council on Legislation in 2010 & 2016, and presently the Chair of the RI Constitution and Bylaws Committee. He has been recognized by the zone with three RI Director Awards for his work on behalf of the Rotary Foundation.  He was awarded the True Rotarian Award and the Heart of the District Award, plus being the RI President’s Representative for his district at several conference around the world.

While Rotary is his passion Duncan has been and continues to be active in other community organizations including The National Association of Federal Retirees where he has served as  the National Director for PEI,  Director for The Montgomery Theatre , Scouts Canada, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Team UPEI, Island Trails s and the Canadian Haemophilia Society.  He and his wife Linda have been married for 50 years both enjoying Rotary Fellowship and travel.
