Robert Sibbald received his Bachelor of Science in Zoology/ Animal Biology at Western and his Master of Science in Bioethics and Medical Ethics at the University of Toronto. He came to London in 2007 as London Health Science Centres first full-time Clinical and Organizational Ethicist.

His current role is the Director of Ethics, Patient Experience, and Health Equity (and Indigenous Liaison), LHSC. He teaches in the Department of Family Medicine at Western University, and is a Research Collaborator at Western’s Health Ethics, Law, and Policy (HELP) Lab.

His topic today is entitled “healthcare ethics and the necessity of patient/family engagement”
