As part of its 100th Anniversary Celebrations, the Rotary Club of London has commissioned the placement of a Rotary clock in the clock tower of Covent Garden Market (Rotary Square) and has pledged 10 gifts of up to $10,000 to local and international projects. CLICK TO DONATE
 
These are the projects that are serving London and area:
 
City of London
 
The Rotary Club of London is donating $10,000 toward the restoration of the Springbank Wading Pool, which was originally installed in 1928 with a donation from the Club.
 
Fanshawe Pioneer Village
 
With a donation of $10,000, the Rotary Club of London supports the establishment of the Rotary 100th Anniversary Exhibit (outlining the history of Rotary in London) and supports the restoration of Fanshawe Pioneer Village's " Storefront Complex" which shall preserve some of the history of this region for generations.
 
Hutton House
 
The iPad Learning Project, which enables Hutton House to assist clients in learning essential literacy and life skills, is supported by the Rotary Club of London, in the amount of $10,000.
 
Mission Services of London (Rotholme Women's and Family Shelter)
 
Rotary Club of London's $10,000 donation will be used to create an Internet Cafe where clients can access computers and the Internet for job searching, homework and staying connected with supportive family and friends.
 
St. Joseph's Hospice of London
 
With a donation of $10,000 by Rotary Club of London, the St. Joseph's Hospice will enhance their premises to provide a haven where persons dying of cancer and their families can experience an atmosphere of compassion, holistic care and companionship.
 
Veteran's Memorial Parkway
 
Rotary is donating $10,000 to support the planting of trees and the installation of a Rotary wheel monument on the site located on Veteran's Memorial Parkway (the E. side north of River Rd., S. of the Thames River). The gift acknowledges the service of not only our Veterans, current service men and women but that of Rotarians everywhere.
 
Youth for Christ
 
Rotary is donating $10,000 to support the construction of an Indoor Skate Park (structures and safety equipment) to enable Youth for Christ's mission of empowering youth to reach their potential.
 
 
 
These are the projects that are supporting our international community:
 
Haitian Resource Development Foundation (Rotary Club of Aquin, Haiti)
 
With $10,000, and in partnership with the Rotary Club of Aquin, the Rotary Club of London has supported the "Children's Cybercafe and computer literacy program"  through the supply of computers and operational funding.
 
Paul Harris School, Salina Cruz, Mexico  (Rotary Club of Salina Cruz)
 
Named after the founder of Rotary, the Paul Harris School is an elementary school serving 380 students in an impoverished area.  After 30 years of use, the school electrical and septic systems are in desperate need of upgrade. This will be accomplished through a $10,000 donation by Rotary Club of London.
 
The Empowerment Project (Women in Rotary)
 
Rotary Club of London will provide a matching fund of up to $5,000 to the Empowerment Project.  The project, sponsored by Women in Rotary, will facilitate micro-financing to women entrepreneurs in developing countries around the world, to enable them to use their talents to lift themselves out of poverty.
