Terry Stracke and a Journey in Rotary

Terry Stracke was the speaker at our lunch meeting on April 14, 2011. Terry was a member of the Bear Creek Copperfield Rotary Club for ten years, where she was Past President. Due to her husband's job, Terry moved outside of the United States and lived in England, Malaysia and the Netherlands. As a committed Rotarian, she joined the Rotary Clubs in those countries. Due to cultural differences, Terry openly shared with us the challenges that she faced as a female Rotarian trying to find a club home. Nevertheless, her indomitable spirit and dedication to the works of Rotary perservered. Terry and her husband relocated back to Houston, Texas in the fall of 2010 and is currently a member of the Houston Heights Rotary Club. Thank you, Terry, for sharing your journey in Rotary.
