Last year, our club raised funds for a Meal packing Event  We donated and then packed  20,000 meals. These were sent to Columbia. Rise for Hunger is one of the charities  our club supports .

Rise Against Hunger Houston was founded in 2014 and serves the Houston Metro, Texas Gulf Coast, South and Central Texas regions. In 2018, more than 9,400 local volunteers and partnering organizations, including Fluor, Houston Area Rotary Clubs and Hewlett Packard Enterprises, have helped build the local movement to end global hunger. In this region alone, through 2018, 6.1 million meals have been packaged to benefit eight countries.

We will hopefully support or stage a  food event later in the Spring

( Other charities supported are Shield bearer and Special Pals in our community. )

Jack Wallace is on the board of Rise for Hunger Houston.  He also is a State Farm Insurance Agent

Many Thanks to Mr. Robby Riggs, Community Engagement Manager for Rise Against Hunger who set up this talk
