World Polio Day provides an opportunity to highlight global efforts toward a polio-free world and honor the tireless contributions of those on the frontlines in the fight to eradicate polio from every corner of the globe.
Stories
Rotary 10/14 Monday - Not to be Missed!
Monday's Guest is Kyle Pfannenstiel, reporter and journalist with the Idaho Capital Sun. Idaho health care is his focus, yet he reports on all types of stories relevant to our Idaho community. Please join us on Monday to learn more about the Idaho Capital Sun, story development, and Kyle!

In July, Kyle reported on a lawsuit seeking to void Idaho's government employee health insurance contract. This follows up on two-part series this spring announcing the insurance contract change and delving into how it was made. Here's part 1 from that series.  This is a story that Kyle continues to cover. State government contracting is a unique area of reporting that Kyle covers. It is complicated and can involve a lot of tax money, affecting a lot of Idaho lives.

Top Golf was FUN!
On Monday 10/7 Rotarians toured Top Golf in Meridian, Idaho. Hosted by Victoria Kraynak, Director of Sales, everyone had fun, learned a lot, enjoyed lunch, and a few stayed and whacked some golf balls! Many thanks to Karol Stokes for the suggestion and for Victoria for the fantastic tour. Top Golf is welcoming for golfers and non-golfers alike. They can host up to 750 people at a time, they have a restaurant open to the public (no golfing required), two kitchens, plenty of parking, a meeting room (for up to 26 people), and a mini-golf course for those who enjoy a bit of putt-putt golf!  A suggested was made to host an event, inviting all Rotarians, friends and family from across the Treasure Valley for a fun night out.
