9/23 – Steve Davis, the CEO of Genesis Clinic.  Note:  we will try to do a supply drive for the clinic and give him the supplies when he comes to speak.  Karol has reached out to him for a needs list. 

10/14 – Kyle Pfannenstiel, Idaho Capital Sun will share updates regarding their structure, their approach to news, and reporting. 

10/28 – Susan Saad – Community Relations from Bogus Basin will share updates from the hill.  

 

 

Make Plans for Service
10/24/2024 is Trunk or Treat!  This is a club service event where Meridian Rotary Club will be at Meridian City Hall celebrating Halloween.  Sign-up sheets are going around for candy donations, decorating, and volunteering that evening.  Set-up is at 5pm.  We need to be ready to go at 6pm and stay until 9pm. 
 
10/25/2024 at 7:00pm Institute for Advancing American Values will host a civic engagement fair as part of our Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS).  D5400 has signed up and will be seeking volunteers to help host the table. This civic engagement fair will take place immediately after the lecture by New York Times columnist and author David Brooks, who will speak starting at 7:00PM in ExtraMile Arena.  
 
 
November will be a day at the Meridian Food Bank.  It will be scheduled after the 'Scouting for Food' Boy Scout Food Drive. 
 
11/23/24 Vino for Honduras: 

Vino For Honduras is on Saturday, November 23rd, 6:30pm-9:30p, at Cinder Winery.   Enjoy wine, food, and a touch of Honduran culture while you help support the health and wellbeing of those less fortunate in Honduras. We welcome your assistance in making Vino for Honduras a success!  Here’s how you can help:

Shark Tank (Date TBD):  Meridian Rotary is going to do a 2 ‘shark tank’ event in collaboration with the Pocatello Club.  The plan is to host the competition on a Saturday morning, where club members gather in person for breakfast and meet the competitors from the African continent virtually.  The Club members will raise $1,000 (or more) and ask the Club to match up to $1,000 in order to make two 2 awards.
