BOARD MEETING, APRIL 14, 2020 (Conducted via Zoom)


Welcome & Overview by President Bill Robertson

Secretary’s Report:  Special Board meetings were held in March:

1.  Approval to purchase a Thank You ad in the Journal of Business

2.  Approval to fund a Rotary Foundation Appreciation Event

3.  Waive attendance requirements & substitute box lunches at meetings

4.  Close Bingo Blvd., furlough employees and retain management

5.  Suspend all in-person meetings until May 15th and give lunch credits

6.  New members Mary Lynn Heinen and Don & Carol Currie

7.  Cathy Metcalf has resigned

Treasurer’s Report:  Due to the closure of Bingo Blvd, transfers to the Club are reduced until further notice.

BINGO Oversight Report:  Waiting for direction from the Governor as to opening

                                          COMMITTEE Reports:

VOC ED SERIVE:  No report

FOUNDATION:  Foundation Appreciation Event was cancelled

MEMBERSHIP:  Recruiting on hold until meetings can be held again

INTERNATIONAL:  The Tepic Water Project District Grant was submitted for approval

SPECIAL PROJECTS:  Airport Art Project on hold

CLUB SERVICE:  Nothing to report

COMMUNITY SERVICE:  Duck Race proceeds were dispersed.  A grant request from the East Benton County Historical Society is on hold.  Proceeds from ‘Shine the Light” will be released into the CCR account for dispersal.  $25,000 will be set aside to apply for a Global Grant on Human Trafficking.

YOUTH SERVICES:  Everything is on hold

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSIST.:  Office hours are reduced.  Please email or call Sondra if you need help.

NEW BUSINESS:  We are all hoping to get back to meeting together as a club and discussed ways we see that happening.  At this point, the Board will continue to make calls to each member to check in and make sure no one is in need.  Committee Chairs were encouraged to have meetings via Zoom to discuss projects that don’t require funding and maintain social distancing.  We will continue to have weekly Zoom club meetings on Thursday at noon with no speakers but lots of socializing!
